Market changes...

Some recent articles about energy production, green energy and mergers caught my eye. I'll link to the articles in question (they're in dutch) but will provide a quick english summary here.

1. The English buscompany Stagecoach runs one of its busses on sheeps urine, more specifically in the city of Winchester. (Link)

2. Energy concerns Luminus and SPE expected to complete merger before summertime. This will make them the second biggest player on the Belgian market after Electrabel. (Link)

3. Electrabel invests 11 million euro in Portugese windpower project(s). The total output of these projects is expected to be 442MW, and they are a joined cooperation of Generg, the European Investment Bank and a bankconsortium consisting of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, Caja Madrid and Banco BPI.
